I have a full-time job working as a pastry chef in London but I love to test out recipes on my days off. This is where I plan to document what goes on in the sunny kitchen of my Borough apartment.
This newsletter will not read like a blog or a diary entry, more like a log book of some kind, a pastry picture-book.
I’m calling this little test kitchen Saturdays because I’ve always thought it was the best day of the week, one where I would sleep-in and eventually emerge to bake a recipe from my Usborne Children’s cookbook with my mom.
Those were my first kitchen experiences. Things escalated and it’s become my day job. I’ve worked in kitchens in Bangalore, Bruges, Lausanne and New York since then— all with varying degrees of highs and lows. This is my way of preserving those feelings of anticipation and curiosity I would wake up with on those Saturday mornings. Thanks for being here.
